The Siddhalepa was founded in Sri Lanka in 1934 by the Kidney Specialist and Astrologer Dr. Hendrick de Silva Hettigoda who hailed from an ancestry of ayurveda physicians of over 200 years. In the latter part of 60`s, Dr. Hendrick De Silva Hettigoda chose his fifth child Victor, to continue his ayurveda medical practice.
The chairman Mr. Victor Hettigoda spent nearly twelve years learning the theory and practice of Ayurveda, consulting ancient manuscripts and books and acquiring practical experience. Today, the Hettigoda Group is offering a diversified range of Ayurveda products based on Ayurveda medicine, under flagship brand Siddhalepa.
Siddhalepa Ayurveda Hospital was established nearly 30 years ago to treat the patients from all parts of Sri Lanka and gradually the hospital attracted the foreign visitors too.
